What is the grange?

The Milton Grange is dedicated to the protection and promotion of the rural community through a variety of volunteer and educational activities. We welcome all residents from Saratoga County to become members of our community organization.

History of the Grange
The Grange is the nation’s oldest national agricultural organization with over 300,000 members. It was one of the first formal groups to admit women to membership on the basis of equality with men.

The NYS State Grange works for legislative action that ensures the quality of life in rural areas.

The Grange is also a fraternal order known as the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, hence the “P of H” on the organization’s logo.

Since 1890 the Milton Grange has been deeply involved in Milton’s rural life. We work together within the community to ensure that local laws and land use planning recognize the economic role of the rural resident.
